Cheryl, I’m excited that you’re doing this!
Detoxing my home and my life has been the focus for me the last few months.
It will be fun to follow along with your blog posts.

Hi Suzanne – so glad you’ll be joining me. I hope you’ll share your detox experience with everyone as we go along. I’m eager to hear all about it too!

  3. Monica says:

What a great idea! I look forward to your tips, which are always great! I could certainly use encouragement to follow suit in my own home.

  4. Cheryl Miller says:

Hi Monica – I’ll do my best! Be sure to let us know how you’re doing as we progress through the series.

  5. Pam says:

Fear strikes in my heart when I think of how huge this project will be for me. I am with you, my whole house needs a cleanse. I am a good starter, terrible finisher.
    Thanks for the encouragement.

    Cheryl,

I got up this morning and decided that today is the day I also begin detoxing my home. I’ve got sewing supplies (yes, including material) that I will never use and it is like walking around with a needle stuck in your memory, plus I’ve got the usual paperwork, the ‘stuff’ that can’t be tossed, but HAS to be!

I thought you were going to be helping us detox our homes
by going over the ingredients in our cleaning supplies, the food we eat, the places we never clean, etc. So I was so pleased to see it is much deeper than that, and fits in perfectly with my feelings on how I felt this morning.

Right now, I’m having trouble getting off my rocker and tackling the first box. And the only box I’ve said I have to do this week. How hard is that? Why am I allowing this distraction of watching birds to take over my detox?

In fact, to push myself, I said I will only work on a box a week, and on Monday’s so I have the rest of the week off. Do others feel just like this?

Thanks for taking this detox, unknowningly, in the direction I sure needed.

    Rita

Hi Pam – so glad you’re “in.” We’ll do this thing together! Bit by bit! Keep us posted on your progress.

  8. Cheryl Miller says:

Rita – thanks for sharing this great comment. I hear ya….and so do a lot of others. Such a common experience. We watch birds because that’s more fun and interesting. I like that you’ve scheduled Mondays for the box cleanout so you can enjoy the rest of the week. How about this….start on that box right now and post how it’s going? Sometimes we just need a little accountability. When you post go to one of the “live” posts. This was mostly a place holder and folks won’t see your great comment. Please check-in on your progress. Eager to hear!
